MD63
Description
This 63-foot powerboat is designed to be highly versatile and can be customized to meet the owner’s needs.
The classic lobster boat aesthetic is expertly combined with more modern lines that maintain a timeless but contemporary elegance.
The high-performance hull allows for a remarkable top speed, a good cruising speed, and excellent seakeeping, allowing the owner to use it in any conditions.
Customizing the deck plan and interior layout can easily give this model the character of a daycruiser/weekender, with all the comforts for the owner and his guests, or a tender/chase boat, with room for all the necessary equipment.
In the standard version, the vessel is equipped with two 1000 hp IPS engines and a range of approximately 400 miles, but the engine configuration and fuel tank capacity can also be customized to individual needs.
MD80
Description
The new MD80BP was designed for the owner who wants to experience the sea in style with family and friends, without sacrificing the adrenaline of high-performance racing.
The hull shape and overall parameters are the result of a in-depth research aimed at maximizing performance. The generous sail plan ensures power even in light winds and guarantees a prompt response to gusts, a key quality for modern high-performance cruising boats.
The twin rudders provide optimal control for both cruising and racing in moderate to strong winds. Furthermore, the lifting keel allows for a variable draft from 5 to 3.1 meters, ensuring both convenient access to ports and high performance underway thanks to a high-efficiency wing section.
The deck layout is the result of a collaborative approach with the owner, Maxi Dolphin, and the interior designers to ensure optimal use of space and guest circulation onboard. The deck equipment can be adapted to the vessel’s diverse uses, from shorthanded cruising to fully crewed racing. The cockpit and foredeck were designed as multipurpose areas, sharing cushions and backrests for maximum flexibility of use without adding unnecessary weight.
These two distinct ways of experiencing the boat are also reflected in the interior design, both in terms of function and materials, shapes.
The interior details are designed to be elegantly essential, ensuring a refined cleanliness of form that also translates into a lightweight construction. These design choices allow the vessel to compete at a high level in regattas while simultaneously transforming into a comfortable marine retreat for friends and family during the cruising season.
The same dualism is reflected in the choice of materials and tones that characterize the various areas of the vessel, conceptually revisiting the distinction between hull and topside and also the boundary between sky and sea.
The floorboards and lower sections of the interior spaces, characterized by darker, more textured tones, are warmed by a deep and enveloping wood veneer. The upper surfaces and ceilings have light, matte lacquer finish, enhancing the diffusion of natural light from the portholes, which were made as large as possible to intensify the visual and connection with the marine environment.
At the same time, the artificial lighting has been designed to be discreet and, where possible, hidden, allowing for different lighting scenarios and delicate contrasts of light and shadow.
Accents of deep blue, metals, and natural leathers enliven the various spaces, enhancing the balance between aesthetic refinement and marine functionality.
