MD75 SAIL

Description
Winner of the ‘Sailing Yacht 2020’ at The International Yacht & Aviation Awards organised by ‘Design et al’, a leading international design and interior design magazine, the MD75 by Mark Mills was launched in February 2019.
Entirely made of Corecell sandwich and carbon fibre she is a super-fast cruiser that combines simplicity with lightness. Equipped with a lifting keel and square-top mainsail, the deck is completely clear of rigging, which is stowed under the deck with the winches positioned next to the two wheels.
The interiors, designed by Nauta Design, have lightened sandwich fittings and panelling and are made with open-pore oak and light-coloured fabrics in a comfortable, “warm” style.

MD100 Nomad IV

Description
A project by the Finot-Conq studio which, together with the Maxi Dolphin Project Design Team, was also in charge of the interior design by Pierre Frutschi Architecture & Design.
The most advanced composite materials and racer technologies were used for the construction of the “fastest 100-foot cruiser in the world”, as the Finot-Conq studio described the FC3 100 by Maxi Dolphin. The deck, free from rigging, is only just defined by the low deckhouse with large windows.
The guest cockpit is furnished with two C-shaped sofas with tables accommodating up to 12 people, and the cockpit with two wheelhouses has a large open space aft, over the garage. The minimalist interior design is composed, forward of the large living area, of three guest cabins and the 5-metre-long owner’s suite. Aft of the living area is a further double guest cabin, the galley and the crew quarters.

MD55 SAIL

Description
Intended for an expert owner, is a cruiser with an easy sailer layout. It has a limited maximum beam, double rudders and the “V” hull recalls that of the TP52s from the Spanish studio.
Fresh water tanks are also used as ballast to maximize upwind performance. The auxiliary engine is electric powered by solar panels on the coachroof and the bimini and lazy bags are also equipped with solar panels. A large central living room, owner’s room at the bow and two double rooms at the stern, the interiors.

A fast luxury cruiser designed in-house by Maxi Dolphin, in partnership with Studio Rogantin, for the waterlines and with Advanced Mechanical Solutions for the structural elements.
The variable-geometry hull has been developed with CFD programs and is optimized for the best trim and seaworthiness. The construction, like all MD Power’s, uses a Sprint system (Sp Resin Infusion Technology).
Hull and deck are pre-preg glass, carbon fiber, epoxy with vacuum lamination and are post-cured. The lightweight interior and fittings are made of Nomex sandwich and pre-preg flax. The first MD70 Power it’s been developed a support boat for a megayacht.

MD51 POWER OPEN

Description
All the charm and qualities of the MD51 Power in an Open that combines the large cockpit furnished with sofas and dinette with interiors designed for comfort.
The standard layout includes, besides the large central living with dining area with L-shaped sofa with a table and an equipped galley, a forward master cabin and a double cabin, both of them with a large private bathroom. The interior is completed by a crew cabin accessed from the cockpit.

MD48 POWER

Description
Maxi Dolphin was commissioned by Pier Luigi Loro Piana to build the tender for his 130-foot My Song. The general concept is by Nauta Design and the hull is by Francesco Rogantin’s Names studio.
As with all MD Power yachts, construction uses the Sprint system (Sp Resin Infusion Technology). The hull and deck are made of sandwich with variable density foam, carbon and fiberglass fabrics, with epoxy resins, vacuum lamination and post-cured in an 84° C oven.
The interior is made of sandwich components. Inspired by the famous Patrol Boats, she has a cockpit with two large sundecks and, in the area protected by the hard top, two symmetrical lounges. All the fittings are easily removable to accommodate the sails and equipment from My Song.
The windshield slanted toward the bow (as on work boats) to improve visibility is particularly distinctive. Below deck, there is a master cabin with a forward bathroom, a galley, and a crew/guest cabin with private bathrooms. The décor features also laminated linen on resin for the floorboards, ceilings, galley and bathroom countertops.

MD63

Description

This 63-foot powerboat is designed to be highly versatile and can be customized to meet the owner’s needs.

The classic lobster boat aesthetic is expertly combined with more modern lines that maintain a timeless but contemporary elegance.

The high-performance hull allows for a remarkable top speed, a good cruising speed, and excellent seakeeping, allowing the owner to use it in any conditions.

Customizing the deck plan and interior layout can easily give this model the character of a daycruiser/weekender, with all the comforts for the owner and his guests, or a tender/chase boat, with room for all the necessary equipment.

In the standard version, the vessel is equipped with two 1000 hp IPS engines and a range of approximately 400 miles, but the engine configuration and fuel tank capacity can also be customized to individual needs.

MD80

Description

The new MD80BP was designed for the owner who wants to experience the sea in style with family and friends, without sacrificing the adrenaline of high-performance racing.

The hull shape and overall parameters are the result of a in-depth research aimed at maximizing performance. The generous sail plan ensures power even in light winds and guarantees a prompt response to gusts, a key quality for modern high-performance cruising boats.

The twin rudders provide optimal control for both cruising and racing in moderate to strong winds. Furthermore, the lifting keel allows for a variable draft from 5 to 3.1 meters, ensuring both convenient access to ports and high performance underway thanks to a high-efficiency wing section.

The deck layout is the result of a collaborative approach with the owner, Maxi Dolphin, and the interior designers to ensure optimal use of space and guest circulation onboard. The deck equipment can be adapted to the vessel’s diverse uses, from shorthanded cruising to fully crewed racing. The cockpit and foredeck were designed as multipurpose areas, sharing cushions and backrests for maximum flexibility of use without adding unnecessary weight.

These two distinct ways of experiencing the boat are also reflected in the interior design, both in terms of function and materials, shapes.
The interior details are designed to be elegantly essential, ensuring a refined cleanliness of form that also translates into a lightweight construction. These design choices allow the vessel to compete at a high level in regattas while simultaneously transforming into a comfortable marine retreat for friends and family during the cruising season.

The same dualism is reflected in the choice of materials and tones that characterize the various areas of the vessel, conceptually revisiting the distinction between hull and topside and also the boundary between sky and sea.

The floorboards and lower sections of the interior spaces, characterized by darker, more textured tones, are warmed by a deep and enveloping wood veneer. The upper surfaces and ceilings have light, matte lacquer finish, enhancing the diffusion of natural light from the portholes, which were made as large as possible to intensify the visual and connection with the marine environment.

At the same time, the artificial lighting has been designed to be discreet and, where possible, hidden, allowing for different lighting scenarios and delicate contrasts of light and shadow.
Accents of deep blue, metals, and natural leathers enliven the various spaces, enhancing the balance between aesthetic refinement and marine functionality.
